Ganapathy, an young professor in IIT Madras, leads our Imaging solutions using Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) technologies. He led one his teams to victory in the International Conference on Medical Image Computing and Computer Assisted Intervention (MICCAI) in Canada in 2017. His research areas include developing multi-modal imaging systems and developing software for image analysis and his group has participated and presented winning entries in many international medical imaging grand challenges. In close collaboration with radiologists, Ganapathy develops methods for automated analysis of medical images towards obtaining useful diagnostic and prognostic information. He validates these methods on publicly available databases as well as using data from radiologists.
Ganapathy's work experience include being a Software developer in Quadrespec and Research analyst - postdoctoral fellow in Case Western Reserve University and Mayo Clinic. He is a post-graduate from IIT Madras, and a Ph.D from Purdue University, USA.
Balaji, another young professor in IIT Madras, has deep expertise in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) technologies. He helped several organizations with resolving their deep technology application solutions. His research interests include Fluid dynamics, Turbulence in compressible and hypersonic flows, Computation of rarefied flows, Numerical analysis and High performance computing. Balaji has also received awards for excellent teaching. From 2008-2016, he was in the Applied Mechanics Department at IIT-Delhi.
Balaji received his M.S in Aerospace Engineering from Purdue University in 2000 and Ph.D. from the Department of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Stanford University in 2006. He completed his B.Tech from IIT Madras in 1998.
